About the Painting
The Lord of Love Cup" is an exploration of the response to the Lady of Love Cup. Usually I only one one valentine day painting but this year I went all out but after sketching the lady I wanted her to have a partner, but typically when you paint two lovers they are kindred spirits but a cup with an a eye.. I wanted to focus in on one looking at the other. I really should have gone the extra mile and painted their reflections but my feeble mind didn’t think of that until after these were glazed!
