While writing my zine piece about Petrichor I wanted to try and explore the petrichor experience through a portrait but I began to lose the aspect of heady earth for a much lighter piece that for me is fresh like Summer Rain and this piece came into it's own.
Blending together a handful of beautiful faces from Pinterest with my own sketched portraits and some AI generation I decided to meld my character into an abstract background that depicts my feelings of being caught in a little rummer rainstorm.
The flowers in the hair have been broken down to resemble flowers but it's just shapes, textures and colours and I wanted the painting to remain fresh and to be slightly melting from the warming rain.
